Reaching out to Women’s Studies Centers in India
In November 2014, AWRC drew up a list of Women’s Studies Centers in India to network with. This included secular as well as theological/ religious/ecumenical institutions.
Through mailers/brochures and personal letters/calls we reached out to:
We introduced our purpose and focus of work and extended an invitation and opportunity to all the Centers to collaborate with us on joint programs related to women’s issues, women’s rights, justice issues related to women and law/women and work, women and religious issues, and women’s studies or gender studies in general. Some of these Centers have responded positively and specific plans will be worked out after detailed discussion with these Centers.
