![]() Newsletter of the Asian Women's Resource Centre for Culture and Theology Vol. 10, No. 2, October 2005 womenet means women's network and solidarity. The "net" symbolises fishing, so common for Asian villages by the sea. It reminds us of rural and grassroots people, especially women, who mainstream society tends to overlook, neglect, ignore and even abuse. The "net" is also part of the image of "fishing" people which Jesus the Christ commissioned his disciples and followers to do.
